5 Things to do in Niagara

Is the cold weather getting the best of you? Do you want to crawl into your bed until May? I feel you. Don’t let winter make you feel that way. There are so many hidden gems in the Niagara region that you NEED to take advantage of during this season. Even if you just want to go to get a good Insta shot so your friends think you’re not hibernating, these places are a MUST see!

Wayne Gretzky's Ice Rink

This spot is the best. For only $5 you can take advantage of this beautiful outdoor ice rink, they even rent skates. This is a one-stop-shop for everyone. Whether you want to take full advantage of the rink, or sit on the sidelines and enjoy a warm beverage, this is the place to be!

Niagara Parks Snowshoeing

Every weekend until March 29th, Niagara Parks hosts weekend snowshoeing! For only $20 (includes snowshoe rental) you can procrastinate your schoolwork and hit the trails. They also have 3 different trails in case you think you might get tired after 30 minutes…

Balzac's Coffee Roasters

The most instagrammable coffee shop in Niagara. This place is perfect if you want to relax and do some school work ( and of course get a good insta). Located in the heart of Niagara on the Lake, the coffee is amazing and the pastries are even better.

Chocolate FX

This is not a drill… Chocolate FX offers FREE chocolate tours every single day, the tours last approximately 35 minutes and you get samples all along the way… and did I mention it was free? This is the perfect plan for a Saturday if you are on a budget, or if you just love free chocolate. Located in Niagara on the Lake, Chocolate FX will not disappoint!

Indoor Baby Goat Yoga

Whether you love or hate yoga, everyone loves baby goats. Small Talk Vineyards hosts a weekly yoga session with baby goats AND cider. It just doesn’t get better than that. Tickets are $45 and they sell out FAST… there is truly no better way to spend your Saturday. “We have witnessed first-hand the amazing positive effects of Goat Yoga. Participants leave the session feeling lighter, happier, more connected to nature and each other.” … OKAY sign me up.

I hope now you have reconsidered hibernating for the next few months...
