New Martial Arts Club on campus
Knights! We officially have a Marital Arts Club, and after experiencing this first hand, I have to say, it is amazing! I've never been into martial arts whatsoever, but after watching this
1-hour learning session today, I’m wanting to try a few moves out next week...maybe. This club is seriously awesome, it is offered every single Friday from 12:30 pm-1:30 pm in A205 at the Welland campus. Even if you are at the NOTL campus, I highly recommend making the trip at least once if this interests you. PS: Don’t worry, you don’t need to be a professional to check this out…
If that doesn't make you want to join this club, the President will convince you otherwise. Meet Roozbeh Roshani, he is currently a student at Niagara College. When he's not studying Fitness and Health Promotion, Roozbeh is a literal karate kid… He won his first competition when he was just seven years old, placing fourth in the 6th World Karate-do Championship. Since then, he has competed in at least a hundred competitions, 26 of which were world championships held from 1997 to 2018… So he is kind of a huge deal. Roozbeh was incredibly welcoming to all of the students by displaying patience and kindness throughout the entire learning experience.
If this is something you have ever been interested in, I encourage you to check this out at least once! The club will be running throughout the entire semester, and ALL students are welcome. Even if you have never done martial arts in your life, OR if you are out of breath after walking up the stairs (me), come check this out, you will not be disappointed!
