Description: The NC Native Plant Society is a group dedicated to promoting the use of native plant species, on campus and in the community. This group will explore opportunities for native plant gardening projects on campus and in the community. Other group activities include: - Archiving native plant species found on campus - Educating others on the ecological benefits of native plant gardening - Collaborating with students in Horticulture, Ecosystem Restoration, and Landscaping programs with the goal of sharing knowledge and promoting ecological best-practices - Collaborating with the sustainability department to align with existing on-campus sustainability initiatives
